What is a Standard Data Story?

A Standard Data Story is a data story that anyone in your organization who has access to INSIA can see and analyze. While you can enable access to your entire organization with just one click, it is important to note that Role Based Access Control (RBAC) will still apply.

It means that even if there is a data story that is Standard, if the KPIs are from a table to which an associate does not have access, then that associate will not be able to see that Standard Data Story.

How to make a Data Story Standard?

In Platform settings in the Admin Portal, the first tab is Data Story. This tab is used to manage all aspects of the Standard Data stories. The admin who has access to Platform settings can make any Data Story Standard.

All your dashboards or reports created under "My Data Stories" would list under Non-Standard DataStory. You can multi-select Data stories that you want to make standard.

Once selected, you can click on the > button to move the data story from non-standard to a Standard Data story.
